Number 40 today at Central Methodist.
Finally, maybe Rashida Tlaib will call her minions off and the phone calls will cease.
Sheesh.

Tlaib had four people there, but I like her, so I didn't mind. I saw, too, that one of my kookier neighbors threw her hat in the ring for Treasurer.

I like her too. She even came knocking at my door. It was a little much but whatever.
I was actually disgusted the most by the amount of literature Maureen Stapleton stuffed in my mailbox. I almost took a pic and posted a few days ago. I guess you have to do what you have to do but let's draw the line at like 10 fliers, huh?
Also voted for Glenn Anderson, which doesn't mean diddly I'm assuming.

United Auto Workers President Bob King said the union supports building a second bridge between Detroit and Windsor, but will remain neutral on a ballot proposal that seeks to block a government-funded crossing because of "strong concerns."
"We have long supported another bridge. We think there definitely should be another bridge," said King in a Detroit News interview. But King said he wanted guarantees that union labor would be used to build the bridge — along with an agreement to ensure the new bridge benefits Detroit residents and that U.S. and Canadian union made steel is used to build the bridge — not Chinese made steel.
King also wants to make sure there is a "fair balance" of work between Canadians and Americans in building the new bridge.
He said the deal Gov. Rick Snyder worked out with Canadian officials to build the New International Trade Crossing does not do enough "in writing" to help people in southwest Detroit, specifically the Del Ray neighborhood, to make sure they don't just "get the fumes and the problems with all the trucks — they just should get jobs."
King declined to directly comment on reports that the UAW was considering supporting the ballot initiative Proposal 6 — which would require state voters to approve spending money on new international crossings — in exchange for millions of dollars of support from Ambassador Bridge owner Manuel "Matty" Moroun for another ballot initiative, Proposal 2, which would enshrine collective bargaining rights in the state constitution.

Wattrick had a nice column about this yesterday. At least I think it was nice. They weren't any veiled allusions to mid-19th century Burkians, nor were there any Mencken references, nor Havel quotes, but I think I was still able to get the gist of it...
