Country singer Randy Travis has been accused of threatening to kill state troopers.

Grayson County sheriff's deputies said they got a call that a man was laying down on F.M. 922 near Clover Road outside of Tioga, Texas, about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

State troopers went to the scene and discovered that the man was Travis.

Travis had been involved in a single-vehicle crash and his breath smelled of alcohol, investigators said. He also displayed other signs of intoxication, officials said.

Travis refused to take a blood or breath test, so deputies got a search warrant. Travis was then taken to a hospital where blood was drawn.

Deputies said that while Travis was being transported, he threatened to shoot and kill the troopers.

Travis was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and retaliation. He was booked into the Grayson County Jail with bond set at $21,500.

This was Travis' second trip to jail this year. In February, Travis was arrested in Sanger, Texas, after he was found in front of a church with an open bottle of wine. He was booked into the Denton County Jail while he sobered up and charged with a class-C misdemeanor.

They're divorced. From the news accounts, she left him for another woman.

A friend thinks his mighty downfall is linked to the fact he's had accusations of being gay hurled at him for years. Not being a fan, I wouldn't know if women's (or men's, for that matter) underwear is being hurled at him.

Rush Limbaugh on Thursday lashed out at feminists — who he called “feminazis” — over the news that male genitalia are shrinking.

The conservative radio host pointed to an Italian study which found that the average male penis was 10 percent smaller than 50 years ago. Researchers cited weight gain around the waist, smoking, stress and environmental pollutants as factors.

But Limbaugh wasn’t buying that explanation.


“I think it’s feminism,” he declared. “If it’s tied to the last 50 years — the average size of [a male's] member is 10 percent smaller than 50 years — it has to be the feminazis, the chickification and everything else.”

“Give ‘em time and they’ll blame Bush. But air pollution vs. feminazis? Ha!”

In 2009, Limbaugh worried that the Center for Disease Control was considering a proposal to encourage circumcision for all baby boys.

“If we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama,” he said at the time.

In other possibly unrelated penis news, IO9 reported on Thursday that doctors have been recently struggling with how to treat Koro Syndrome, which is the irrational “fear that the genitals are shrinking, or retracting into the body, and that when they finally do disappear, you will die.”

Thomas claims she was let go for being seven minutes late for a flight and claims she was tardy because Johnson requires two different types of turkey meat for his sandwich and she was held up at the deli counter.

The 45-year-old Thomas, who made $75,000 plus a $25,000 bonus, is suing Magic Johnson Entertainment and Clay Lacy Aviation for age discrimination among other labor code violations. There are claims that she was denied rest breaks and overtime.

Thomas said after she returned from medical leave Johnson became "more standoffish and dismissive" and shortly after was fired for being late for a Sept. 6 flight.
