I did as well.

The world would lose much of its sweetness without that glorious permed mullet. It would be ironic if Gary Carter died young considering he and Mookie Wilson were the only two members of the '86 Mets who weren't coked-out sex predators.

Ray Knight also was a somewhat decent human being ... the rest of those guttersnipes were abhorrent. I still hate the Mets because of those fuckers.

I still hate the Mets and Boston because of that whole WS. Every game in the TV Lounge my freshman year, it was packed with New Yorkers and Bostonians (not the shoe). Every game there was obnoxious shouting, and almost every game had some sort of fight.

Game 6 Mets - Astros 86 playoffs was on MLB the other day. I am still pissed the Astros lost that series...

Ray was a prick. At least the one time I met him.

After the 1981 "work stoppage" the Reds did a mini spring training type thing in Ann Arbor. Mom took me out see them and to get autographs. Ray Knight was a complete prick even going so far as to hipcheck an 8 year old girl face first in to a chainlink fence. Dave Concepcion read him the riot act and unloaded a few choice f-bombs on him, made him apologize and give autographs to everyone.

I think Davey still was angry about Ray snagging Nancy Lopez.

Captain Phil: was he the one who started coughing up a lung between cigarettes after they hit a rogue wave? Toughed it out by tying himself to the wheel. Turned out he had a PE or something, or was that another one of them? Whatever, it is too bad.

Walter Fredrick Morrison, the man credited with inventing the Frisbee, has died. He was 90.

State Rep. Kay McIff, an attorney who once represented Morrison in a royalties case, says Morrison died at his home Tuesday. McIff is from Richfield, Morrison's original hometown.

Morrison sold the production and manufacturing rights to his "Pluto Platter" in 1957. The plastic flying disc was later renamed the "Frisbee," with sales surpassing 200 million discs. It is now a staple at beaches and college campuses across the country and spawned sports like Frisbee golf and the team sport Ultimate.

Morrison co-wrote a book with Frisbee enthusiast and historian Phil Kennedy in 2001. Kennedy released a brief biography about Morrison on Thursday, wishing his late friend "smoooooth flights."
