Now you know my hell.

I'm in the opposite hell. Five engineers (read: developers) vs. me (the Quality Assurance/Testing guy). I have them to the point that they can see my eyes gloss over with the acronyms and different jargon that they use.........Oh, we lost D-Day again......

I'm the "engineer," and I'm reasonably competent as a communicator. Most, though, are complete fucking failures when it comes to even basic psychology. Example: this morning one of our leaders asked, simply, why is business up in one area. The response from one of my guys was one of those TLDR emails that drive people into a rage because you cannot just ignore them... buried somewhere in the blocks of copy of disseration-abstract is the important nugget, right? I was able to summarize all of that shit into two, one-line bullets. Everyone is happy and for at least one more day I'm the hero.

Had never seen "Drive" until last night. Wow.

Puts the usual "Fast and Furious" shit to shame. Almost like a French New Wave picture where the supporting characters tell more of the story than the protagonist.

And Albert Brooks plays a scumbag a lot better than he does the bewildered, unlucky-at-love schmuck.
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.

Watched "Your Sister's Sister" the other day. Very good, I'd give it a B+. I'm guessing it was a low budget, indie type movie but solid acting and story.

Also saw "Moonrise Kingdom", which was said by some to be a better Wes Anderson work than "The Royal Tenenbaums". I wouldn't go that far but Tenenbaums is one of my all time favs. It was still a very good movie, I'd give it a B.

Great movie, great story, great band. Sorry I didn't get to meet them at USS. Another Detroit original...a must see flick.

Just watched "The Godfather" for the first time. Jesus, what a long ass movie. It was pretty goddamn good though.
