They would if they were grown in Detroit. If by grease you mean petroleum by products and salt you mean road salt.

Just what Detroit kids need, vegetables that concetrate and deliver lead poisoniong more effectively - we could develop an entire community of Reverend David Murrays

It would be like the episode of the Simpsons where Homer grows "Tomacco," but all the people who eat the crops would become even more ignorant and useless. That is, if you could convince the typical Detroit resident to eat a vegetable that hasn't been deep-fried or boiled until all the nutrients have been eliminated. I mean, really, I'm not the biggest veggie-head on earth, but why do a lot of people here look at veggies like they just slapped them in the face?

I'd rather have the farms out in farmland and start a city in the city instead, but that's just me. Totally unhip.

That's not a bad idea. It's a pretty good location for a city, right next to a river, and could make a decent border crossing, too. I say we go for it.
Please be well aware that if you all tried to challenge my codespeak. I will rebute your comments.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

When you go to google street view for Joy & Prevost, it was a Sunoco station open for business.

Except for one click where it was a Sunoco station out of business.

I went by that station on Tuesday before going to vote. I also passed the firehouse at Joy & Southfield. The trucks were out and they were collecting for some charity or another. I gave a buck.

There's an Obama station on Plymouth Road in Detroit that was just sued today for defaulting on a $600,000 loan.

Every Shell station in my neighborhood has been plywooded over. They were all pretty sketchy to begin with.

Jerry's kids.
Overall, the contract seems to have been written by amateurs.

This is in the Detroit News, from last night's Rangers-Twins game.

If I can get a good shot, I'll snap a pic of the signs advertising RIP shirts for $10 at the corner of 94 and Outer Drive. I think that's a telling statement of the Detroit culture.

A good many, um, urban, funeral directors will include the price of printing memorial T-shirts in the cost of a funeral. They're quite the thing in the worst parts of New Orleans, as well as most any other lousy inner-city area.
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.
