More parking scams

Postby Andy » Sun Sep 23, 2007 2:24 pm

Our story opens on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Clifford in an empty lot that often repells the Clean Downtown crew.

Image

Our buddy Mr. Teal is taking a break to buy some lottery tickets and a pack of Kools at Trolley Market.

We are witnessing Detroit's economy in motion. Take that Gov. Granholm!

Image

The other two keep an eye on the front door of the bizness. Can't trust nobody these days.

Meanwhile, here comes Mr. Teal.

Park here! You're Mercedes will be fine in one of our shady spots. We've already got a Saab-owner parking here.
Image

Image

Say man, I think that Trolley Market check out girl likes me. She told me she liked my taste in clothes.

Image

Image

Why don't you pull the flag out of the bushes? I think the coast is clear.

Image

Ok boss, I'll get the flag. We're so smart boss, right boss?

Image

Image

Eyes like a cat!

Image

Image

Lay low, lay low, the fuzz is buzzing around.

Image

I'm gonna ask that Trolley Market cashier out. My horoscope said today was a day to take a chance.

Parking! Get your parking right here! Parking!

Parking! Get your parking right here!

Image

All I did was ask a lady out on a date. How is that illegal? I didn't do nothing.

Parking lot? What parking lot? Y'all just racist. I don't care if you are black, y'all is racist.

Image

Naw man, look...

Image

Image

Ain't nothing gonna break-a my stride, ain't nothing gonna slow me down, oh no, I got to keep-a-movin'.

Image

(except when DPD rolls around) Nice work guys. Thank you.

that one shot makes me want to hit the trifecta....some chops at Sero's, a few high balls at Larrie's Backalley Speakeasy...and, if religiously inclined, a trip to the neighboring downtown Synag..snago...ah, jew church place....all in a row.

Isn't that a DPD vehicle in front of the Saab?

Used to be. It’s a civilian car now. I see it in that lot often.

I don't have many pics from today's incident. The dude with the striped white shirt on this lot tried to break my camera when he saw what I was doing.

The best part was afterwards he flagged down a police car and tattled that I was taking pics of him.

Now I'm not a lawyer, but I think picture taking is still allowed in this country, even in city like Detroit where society is breaking down.

Anyway, again DPD was very cool about this. They were concerned about my safety and were interested in putting this scam to a stop.

He's wearing a Michael Vick jersey underneath that stylish ensemble.

The dude in the blue shirt is going over to his buddies to tell on me.

That's when the striped shirt guy sprinted towards me so I headed back towards Trolley Plaza. He slipped and fell on the wet Washington Blvd. grass so he kind of slid off easily after he pushed me and grabbed for the camera.

Now, are there more important problems in Detroit right now? Certainly. But that doesn't make it any more acceptable. I think it's still ok to be upset about stuff like this.

Oh well, am I like Lowell now at least? Can I brag about this the way he brags about having a gun pointed in his face?

First you have to move to the Hills, then you have to start making quips like:

PUSH!!!

when someone complains of crime in the city.
Hmmmm....maybe I should be a large map of metro Detroit for on my wall, so I better know the relationship of my city and the suburbs. - Supersport

Excellent work again Andy. You should carry a dummy camera to hand over in case you're threatened again. I recommend:

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.
