By using the El Dorado Atmospheric and Oceanic temperatures thermal map. I caculated the contrary direction where the polar jet stream is going and it didn't look pretty.

Man, what time did they do that? I rode by there at about 6 pm last night on my way home from HoneyBee and the tower of Petty was still standing.

You live in Almont and you drive to the city to buy groceries? Wait till Time magazine hears about you.

There aren't too many stores like Honey Bee,(best ever house brand salsa and guac I have ever eaten and their house brand chips in the brown paper bags are to die for) even up here. Might be in the Flint area, but I don't know where they are. Roquefort?

By house salsa, I assume you mean made by the store. For my money, Garden Fresh salsa from Ferndale is the best mass produced salsa. I made some salsa from vegetables out of my garden last year that was pretty goddamn awesome, though. For a specialty store, we have Oliver T's on Hill Road in Grand Blanc. I can spend an hour and a half in there, easily. They sell Downey's Potato Chips from Waterford, which are some of the best chips I've ever had but I figure you were talking about tortilla chips. If you've never had Downey's or been to Oliver T's, I highly suggest you do both as soon as you can. I always order the Tuscan Turkey from the deli.

At least you have The Country Smokehouse. I love that place. Someone could fill up on the samples alone (Detroit is Cheap).

I'll have to try OliverT's, looks like a nice place. What I like about HoneyBee is the large amount of Hispanic foods that you can't get anywhere up here in the little mom and pop mercados; fresh tortillas, several brands of chorizo, a lot of canned goods, spices, the aforementioned salsa (Garden Fresh is very good; their's is better) and guacamole. Plus they have a fresh meat counter and a hot deli where the foods are reasonable and good and fresh produce with lots of peppers. I can also get Queso Chihuahua in 5 lb blocks.
Not to mention Mexican Coca Cola.
I seldom go to the Smokehouse for anything; just isn't on my radar. I'll have to try it again soon.

I have found Imlay City to have almost everything I need for Mexican food. If you take M-24 down past The Palace a couple miles, there's a couple super mercados that will have anything you need. Chicken feet soup? Sure. Tacos de tripa? Yep. Cabezza for you sick fuckers? Absolutely.

I don't think I've eaten cabezza, but I have eaten the cows cheek stuff, Barbacoa I think. It was good.
Are you talking about Old 24 going into Pontiac with the mercado's? I'll check it out.

I guess it's Perry Road, just South of Pontiac Road, there's a supermercado and a Mexican bakery in the same strip mall as the Secretary of State. The other one that I have been to is on MLK, just East of Perry. Looking at the map, I see there's a Mexicantown Bakery location just south of MLK on Perry. The original location is a must stop for me any time I am in SW Detroit.

I've been to the one in SW Detroit a good number of times, too. Across from Armando's, I think. Thanks for the info; I'll make a point of going to Pontiac soon
