As we head to game 163, I'm feeling a little nostalgic.

Not that the game is over, but Metro Detroit's favorite blue collar douchebag third baseman just saved the season in the bottom of the ninth.

Now he knocks in the potential winning run. I can't believe the TBS guys just called him Mr. Detroit.

And how 'bout the top of the 10th?

Gully, I take it all back...

Fuck Inge. If he hit for his career average in the second half, this game wouldn't be necessary.

"Brandon Inge personifies Detroit" said right before his 500th popup of the year.

It's like watching two teams compete over who sucks the most.

Game over....IMO The Tigers did not deserve it.

I guess the Good News is the same as the Bad News:

The Tigers saved their best game of the season for #163.

And Shark, you are as wrong as you could be. Rodney never has to pitch that much, and he gave it his best shot.

However, Rafael Soriano (Braves) is now a Free Agent, as well, and while I have to applaud 'Nando for his chaotic-but-successful performance over the course of this season, Soriano is on my Tentative Wish List.

Oh, and I almost forgot to use my tag-line, which could never be more suitable than it is, right now:

4 hits, 3 walks, 2 runs and I'm as wrong as I can be? Sorry, but I expect a closer to be able to pitch more than one inning in the biggest game of the year.

Granted, there were a lot of other problems in the game. Inge went 1-5 and left 8 men on base, but that is exactly what I expect out of him...
