And he's young as shit still. Fun to see a spark of growing talent on that team.

Granted, they beat a Wade-less Miami, but it was on the road. They've been impressing me. I may have to invest in a few games this year.

They arent half bad this year. At least some what interesting to watch for a change.

I don't follow the NBA. Is "motor city" the norm on their jerseys now?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

Those alternative jerseys look so silly.

I was reading some recaps of NBA games this morning and stumbled upon this:

It's been four-plus years since Washington went over .500. The Wizards will get a chance to end that streak in their next game.

John Wall had 23 points and 11 assists, and Washington beat the Chicago Bulls 96-93 on Friday night for its third consecutive victory.

The Wizards (19-19) reached .500 for the third time this season. They host lowly Detroit on Saturday night with a chance for their first winning record since they were 2-1 on Oct. 31, 2009.

Ouch.

Losing to lowly Utah at home will get you that kind of description though.

A friend invited me to the game last night and we enjoyed the fare in BASF's suite (thump!).
That game might have been the one that nails Joe Dumars' coffin shut. The Pistons were fucking awful.
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.

Whatever happens this season (and I've got to think he's going to be shopping for some shooters), Stan Van Gundy is going to be awesome the first time he really gets mad at Josh Smith.

I'm sure they'd rather have it, but losing the first-round pick isn't the end of the world. There will be shooters there when the Pistons draft 38th and even more available as free agents for much less than they'd pay a first-round pick.

And if I'm the Cavs' GM, I take Joel Embiid or listen to offers to move down a couple of spots and get him there. Kyrie Irving, plus Andrew Wiggins, doesn't sound like a friendly match.

Yeah, not the end of the world. I agree.

And if I was a Cavs fan I'd be so....wait, I'm a Lions fan, no need to explain further.

Report: Darko Milicic Retires from Basketball to Become a Kickboxer

Darko Milicic, the center who was infamously picked second overall by the Detroit Pistons in the loaded 2003 NBA Draft, is apparently done with hoops at the age of 29, and according to NBASerbia, the big fella is entering the world of kickboxing in his home country.

The seven footer bounced around the NBA, playing for six teams and posted career averages of 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds in 468 games.

Darko hasn’t played in the L since the Boston Celtics cut him loose in 2012.

Sat through a full game tonight without being paid for it. I think they're going to make the playoffs.

The Reggie Jackson pickup helps a lot and the remainder of that deal (and the one for Prince) got rid of guys who weren't going to fit with Van Gundy's style of play next season.
The big thing will be keeping Monroe and Jackson next season ...
