Awesome, I'm going on Sunday and I thought it was going to be a 6pm start. That doesn't sit well when my new shift starts at 2am. But a 4pm start means I can have a beer or two and still get a few hours sleep before work. A couple other Fudgers are going too.

1) Look what's happened to the Angels, and what's happening to the Nats. Teams with the best records in the league are getting shown the door by wild card teams.
2) Look what happened to last year's World Series winner? A worse record than the Houston Astros.
This was a disappointing way to end the season. This cannot really be unexpected, since this kind of shit happens all the time in baseball. It's why I love the game.
Ausmus did a pretty good job as a first year manager, and he can only get better. Probably. But then again, who knows? Still, he did nothing to get himself fired.

And, no, I wasn't ranting about firing Ausmus. The Beav was agreeing with me. Spot on analysis by both of you, BTW.......

Girardi took over, missed the playoffs in season one, and won the world series the next year.
Matheny took over, lost in NLDS and went to the series the next year and is poised to do it again this year.
Gotta give Ausmus at least a year until you start judging.
