Walking through The Party Source today and I saw a 12 of Schlitz. Schlitz? Really? So I got it. $10.49 for the 12. I had gotten this before a few years ago and was underwhelmed, but I had an idea. I had a couple of swill Millers back in the fridge and a couple of Sam Adam's beer glasses (the ones with the etching on the bottom that keeps the bubbles going -- I swear to God they help the taste), so I decided to do a little taste test. Cheap beer vs. Cheap beer

I completely retract my previous underwhelming review of Schlitz ...... compared to a Schlitz, the Miller is like drinking pine tar. And the Schlitz is well worth it at $10.49. You could tell the head on the Miller was fake (i.e. CO2 injected)...and went away quickly. The Schlitz , on the other maintained its head through the whole glass. Tastewise the Schlitz was very tasty and refreshing compared to the Miller

So if you see it. Get it. it's good and well worth it for what I paid compared to other beers at the same price (Bud, MGD)

Busch Signature Copper Lager

Not too shabby and a $16.99/homewrecker a fine deal, too

By rights this should go in Non-cheap Beer thread: saw Hams at the atiger game last week. To be honeat I never minded Hams, but at ballpark prices it's an obscenity.
Soon I discovered that this rock-thing was true...

Grocery store in suburban New Orleans has "Milwaukee" for $6.99 a 30-pack.

Not "Old Milwaukee" or "Milwaukee's Best," just "Milwaukee."
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.

Probably bottled straight from Milwaukee's corner tavern urinals at that price.

Something like that. A grocery employee caught me chuckling at the sale sign and asked if that looked good.
I laughed and she told me the kids were sweeping it off the shelves.
