Our Band Could Be Your Life-Michael Azzerad.

If you like any of the 80's SST era music...you'll dig it I'm sure.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy:

A man and his young son wander a post apocalyptic landscape, trying to survive. The writer wants to be stark and penetrating. He isn't.

A Charmed Life: Growing Up in Macbeth's Castle
by Liza Campbell

Extremely wealthy sister of the Thane of Cawdor feels slighted by her incestous wife beating father (the previous Thane). She wrote this book I think, to garner sympathy for herself and her very wealthy and spoiled siblings because they have to share their (Macbeth's) castle with their father's second wife. Instead she illustrates just how self absorbed, self indulgent, and insulated the extremely wealthy, and particularly wealthy nobility, really are; even my over sized obsession with society and fashion could not keep me sympathetic.

(does the semi-colon keep it within the three sentence limit?)

The Big Rich: The Rise and Fall of the Greatest Texas Oil Fortunes

Bryan Burrough (one of the coauthors of "Barbarians at the Gate") starts with the origins of Texas' four most notable oil families, then spends the last 150 pages detailing tawdry details of their personal lives. Yawn.
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.

The Alchemist - a 3 sentence book review.

1. Why the fuck did I read this?
2. Oh yeah, because someone gave it to me and insisted it was "so moving".
3. Fuck this book.

American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld

For her third novel Sittenfeld delves into "historical" fiction by retelling the story of Laura Bush as a hard-drinking, abortion-having, doggie-style loving elementary school librarian. It was repulsive.

Just read Where the Red Fern Grows with my daughter. Still awesome, at any age.

Oh, and I highly recommend reading any book written by Tucker Max.

I think she had the same thought I had and went to go vomit. She's probably hocked the ring and bought a ticket to Europe by now.
