Hipsters, douchebags and lumberjacks. All can be found in abundance in Midtown and Downtown.

I've never seen demo work there, I did see people working on it about two years ago to replace lost bricks and to clean things up. Right in that area too.

So the before and after is a pretty accurate description of the damage then. Blew all that away. Good sized gust then.

It looks like they just put up face walls up there; nothing behind them to give them any stability. Like the plumbing supply's wall on Grand River and the Lodge that blew down a couple months back

But to be fair in that situation, Carl's used to hold up the other end of that wall and it wasn't a terribly long wall. Carl's gets torn down and a chain link fence put up. A building and a chain link fence are clearly not equivalent in terms of structural support.

Thank goodness nobody was injured on that busy city sidewalk! The storm must have sent the usual throngs of pedestrians indoors, luckily.

Yes, I was expecting to see the bodies of an considerable amount of hipsters on that sidewalk. I bet the rain melted them.

Only thing that is missing is guy that broadcast the Hindenberg crash. "Oh the hipsterity"

I spent a magical hour and a half at the Secretary of State's office last week and had a chance to observe all kinds of humanity. And oh, it was humanity. One standout was a a skinny young dude who looked a collision between a standard issue hipster and Joey Ramone: birth-control glasses, ten piercings, shredded black jeans, etdc. A much older and squarer version of the kid was seated next to the abomination, and I took Sr. to be the father or uncle or even grandfather of said punkster. I about died choking back laughs as this old guy kept giving the kid sideways glares and looks that said "no way you are of my loins."

The storm also caved in the wall to an elevator lobby on my floor. It would have been awkward if I was standing there when it happened.

Obviously Andy has no respect for red caution tape.
By using the El Dorado Atmospheric and Oceanic temperatures thermal map. I caculated the contrary direction where the polar jet stream is going and it didn't look pretty.

I saw where a few tried to recreate the wall collapse with hand gestures. I agree with them that it fell down.

At least it fell in. Imagine the shit it would've caused had the section nearest you fallen into Washington Boulevard.
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.
